          ADOLESCENT CHALLENGES

INTRODUCTION

Adolescence is a transitional stage of physical and psychological  human development  that generally occurs during  the period from puberty to legal adulthood. It is vulnerable time when kids can develop unhealthy habits that grows into problems in their adult life.so proper identification of problems and its solutions have to be made to save our youth.

OBJECTIVES

 

1.  To make students aware about the problems of adolescents. 
2. To grab students attention towards the major problems.
3. To develop healthy family and social relationships. 
4. To provide proper solutions for  their problems   

                                          As part of our B.Ed  curriculum , we the teacher trainees of St Johns  H S S Nalanchira conducted a conscientisation program on January 24th on the topic ADOLESCENT CHALLENGES. we consist of  5 trainees: Sruthy ,vishnupriya,  Reenu, Prasanth and  Anju. The programe was conducted at  8A. 29 students were present in the class. Our topic was subdivided into  INTERNET ADDICTION,ONLINE GAME ADDICTION,DRUG ABUSE  ALCOHOLIC  CHALLENGES.
       The first session was started by Vishnupriya by giving an introduction about the adolescent problems and then spoke about the reasons for stress.Inorder to make the students interactive .she asked some questions  to students..ICT was used to show the slides.
                      The next topic was drug abuse .This topic was  explained by Reenu mariam jose..she discussed reasons for drug abuse and remedial measures.
                Next topic was social mefia addiction.It was explained by Anju of Natural scienceshe discussed anout the positive and negatives of social medias.
                       Online game addiction was  my topic .I asked about online games.most of the students in the class play online games like PUBG  and it is truly an addictive game..when they spent more time i n this it will negatively affect their academics.
                            Alcohol consumption was the final topic.It was explained by prasanth of english optional.
                      Videos and pictures were shown on the projector  inorder to make the students aware about the severity of the issues discussed.

                                       
                                               CONCLUSION
        On the whole the class was informative and students got clear idea about the topic.All students become aware of the major problems that affects adolescent students.we succeeded in conveying the topic.Education is the effective instrument for conscientisation.so proper awareness should be given to make the citizens better
